March's baby names from my local hospital:

Diem
Aradhana
Kylynne
Karder
Rhyker
Quarissa
Tecie
Cosette
Zura
Otillie
Aaradhya
Trinitie
Aubriannah
McCoy
Aditi
Macaigen
Jaybin
Berklie
Aften
Chaitanya
Adjunay
Otter

Ryder is once again the most popular boy name here.  There were some lovely gems like Eleanor and Elias, I'd say only about 25% of them made me roll my eyes.

Not surprised by Cosette, given the movie just came out a few months ago.  I'd expect to see some Eponines before too long, too.  ;)
I searched for nothing on the Internet and got 175,000,000 hits.

Snort!

Back to the name I posted yesterday, Baleigh. I read that as Bali, like the Indonesian island.

What's so bad with Cosette?  Aside from it being one of the main characters of Les Miz, it's been a name for a long time, just rather under-used.

She'll probably grow up to be some bourgeois two a penny thing
In the United States today, there is a pervasive tendency to treat children as adults, and adults as children.  The options of children are thus steadily expanded, while those of adults are progressively constricted.  The result is unruly children and childish adults.  ~Thomas Szasz

That name is bad enough (at least to me) and close enough to my own that I'm embarrassed by it's mere existence.
