Saw one on Restaurant Stakeout last night that made me want to cry.

A young lady named Camera.

Why do people name their kids after objects?!

I don't mind it (Tennessee).  It's a lot better than most of the names on this thread.  And, as someone else mentioned, at least it is spelled correctly!

At least his middle name isn't Tuxedo.

In the paper today (Births section):

De'Nallee.  A boy, yes, a boy.

Strangely enough, his siblings have more mainstream names:  Michael, Alycia, Bailey, and Kaitlyn.  I tried to figure out where the De'Nallee came from (combos of parent's name?) but couldn't seen anything in the article.

I wonder if it is one of those place of conception name after a trip to Denali National Park in Alaska, USA. But made more Unique with spelling.

I actually thought that too because that is the only pronunciation that I could up with.  But while Denali would be sort of a cool name, De'Nallee just isn't.  Poor kid.

Somehow I don't think that DS #1 would have been happy with any kind of dimunative  of Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia, either.  His dad always said that it was Newfoundland (way more colourful) but I knew...

There was an obituary in the paper today for someone named Vendetta.

Maybe they were from King of Prussia, in PA?

More likely her parents just like the way the name looks and sounds.  Or they think the place (city or country) is pretty.

I have a cousin named after a city her parents visited before she was born that her parents thought the city and the name were both pretty.  Funny thing - the name is Spanish but they pronounce it phonetically in English.

No, I won't post her name.

Or Shannan, so they could say, "Shannan, like Shannon, with two a's."
