Saw one in today's paper - Princess.
Yeah, because that won't get her sterotyped or teased...

One of my older brothers had a classmate named Lady.

I have seen the name 'twister' somewhere, and 'Brain'.
I don't like in an english-speaking country though, but twister is mostly known because of the game with that name. Brain is a misspelling of Brian. Let me also add that most people here do actually know how to speak english, so they should be aware of the issue.

Met an Erran today.

Nice young gentleman.

It's a biblical name, very popular in modern-day Israel.
I recently went throught the entire Book of Chronicles as my husband is dead set on a biblical name for our daughter. No luck, BTW.

I have met both a Princess and a Precious.
Typical symptoms of stress are: eating too much, impulse buying, and driving too fast.

Are they kidding? Add wine and that is my idea of a perfect day.

Forgot to mention my husband's cousin Earl, and his grandson Baron.

Earl's kids were named for his wife's teen idols.   Fortunately, she chose relatively classic names for them.

Precious is not all that unusual in some communities.

I have a friend named Precious, who indeed does hate her name. She says all the time "After I was born I guess mom was still on the drugs from giving birth and she must have just said 'Oh look how Precious'. Ta da. Instant name."

I met a lady named Prussia today.  She was no wheres near old enough for even her parents to have been from there.
Maybe they were from King of Prussia, in PA?
As long as it's not short for Prussian Blue (which is a holocaust denial related phrase)

first paragraph of this bit explains the reference.

I would have thought a reference to the colour, specially if the parents are artistic.

I actually like that name as Charles Darwin is one of my personal heroes.  Definitely not an Hispanic name though!
