Seeing the tripe some people name their poor kids makes me so
grateful that my parents named me something, boring and "traditional". A simple palindrome, which made it easy for me at parties when my "forfeit" was something like "spell your name backwards.".
The worst I get asked, very occasionally, is, "one or two (middle letter)?"
I used to be a bit annoyed as a kid, that my name didn't lend the option of a cool nickname or anything, but hey.
One of my older relatives has "D. J." as the initials from his first and middle names. (So, Mr D.J. Smith, for example.) We joke about it sometimes, but both his first and middle names are "normal" names that are also not uncommon. It's just fun seeing his mail addressed to Mr D.J. Smith.
