Editing posts

When you edit a post to fix a grammatical error or clarify something, should you post why you edited your post?

I have just seen alot people put at the bottom "edited for spelling error" etc.

Edited for spelling the word edited wrong-Now isn't that ironic.

You don't have to say why.  I personally do it as a courtesy because editing will sometimes make a post or thread come up as unread or a new reply on the links at the top of the page.  So, I figure if someone is looking for what's new, I can make it easy on them.  It's whatever is most comfortable for you.
