Courteous Pupil at Learning Center

I was leaving the learning center where I work last night, quite annoyed as I'd had to teach one bratty kid and to sit in the same room with another teacher who'd had trouble controlling a bratty kid.  As I exited the center, the 12-year-old pupil in front of me held the door for me.  I made sure to thank him.  He replied, "You're welcome, miss."  I swear, that made up for my whole day. 

At last SOME kids are being taught manners!

I know how you feel, Nedasapio.  It's always a surprise when something like that happens  but it isn't all that rare.  Let's just savor bits of politeness when we find them and foser more where we can.
