I am going to make a grilled Maytag Blue and Caraway Cheddar (yummy) sandwich right now, and it is all due to the folks here.  Mmmm.  Cheese.

Mmmmmm...feta. Especially in a pita with a bit of chicken.

Extra-sharp cheddar on peppered water crackers.

Oh, and havarti on Triscuits with a teensy dab of yellow mustard and a crunch of dill pickle. I am fussy about my cheese and crackers.

If you are in the Denver area I have to put in a shameless plug for  a former classmate....if you love cheese get thee to Frommage to Yours! Or order from her website http://www.echeese.com/ . This shop is to die for and starting it was Jackie's dream. She does a ton for local folks/charites, supports artisan cheesemakers, and is an all around nice person!

Oooh-and that isn't much further for me than The Cheese Importers (Longmont).  I can foresee a cheese shopping trip in my not too distant future!

Sweet! Did you see the Cheesefest she organized this fall? Grilled cheese challenge with a celeb chef from Top Chef....I was so stinking jealous!

My favorite is sharp cheddar.

I love many many cheeses.  But, you really can't argue with the classics.  I have a slight preference for Colby as an all-around cheese, but I probably buy more cheddar.

Soft farm cheeses are my favorite, but I do love so many other too. I am not fond of cheeses with really strong flavors though like extra sharp cheddar or stilton.

Gouda (smoked or with black truffles in it).
Beemster (dutch hard cheese...excellent w/crackers).
Biermeister.
Oh, gouda is also reeeeeeally good on a grilled chicken sandwich- it gets all warm and melty and becomes cheesy heaven.
Can't go wrong with brie.
Asiago.

Brie and Gorgonzola.
I've never knitted anything I could recognize when it was finished.  Actually, I've never finished anything, much to my family's relief.

Oh, and that chevre with pesto sounds divine!

It is. You just spread the pesto on a cracker and top with the chevre. Oh, and btw I think it would work with other pestos if you don't have the sundried tomato pesto.

Resurrecting an old thread to tell y'all about the AWESOME new cheese I just discovered: Beecher's Marco Polo. It's a light, almost white cheddar with chunks of peppercorn in it.

HOLY CAT IT IS SO GOOD.

I'm dutch, so Gouda. ;)

Oh, and parmesan. Can't live without that. A Norwegian cheese named ridderost is also quite good, but other than that one and jarlsberg Norwegians suck at cheese. They seem to go for plastic instead.
Just because someone is offended that does not mean they are in the right.

Yes. That one is really good. Beecher's also has one called 'No Woman, No Cry' and I can't make up my mind as to which one is my favorite.

Gouda. By far.

The only cheesefarm making Gouda in Ontario- it's very fresh and VERY good :) The nettle gouda is my personal favourite :)
