A fun Web Site
« on: December 19, 2006, 04:47:36 PM »
I found this site a few days ago through a friend and it has been a lot of fun. I thought you guys might enjoy it, too.

http://www.popularfront.com/snowdays/index.html?id=3528818

You can find my snowflakes by typing Christine and Billings into the "find a flake" feature.

Some of the snowflkes people have posted are so beautiful and elaborate, that I am in awe of the talent it would take to create something like that.

Oh!That was fun! My snowflake is #3846868

Can look under Clare,Penrith Australia

Very novel idea..seen its Summer in Australia for Christmas, and have nothing to do with snow ever. Have only seen and touched it 3 times in my 33 years..snow and snowflakes are amazing!!*L*

I hope real money is donated from the site..what a great idea! ;D

Can't … stop … making … snowflakes …

I've done six or seven, under Scritzy from SC.

Have you tried printing them out? They look cool blown up!

Scritzy, my friend and I have a whole wall full of flakes in her office. They look neat printed out. Her daughter (9yo) and the two of us have been making them for several days and I just got the bright idea to share the fun with all of you today. ;) Your snowflake for Harry Bruce made me tear up a little though. My kitties love the tree, too, and it is probably making you miss him to have it up  :'(  Give your other kitties a hug and remember the fun times you had with your special guy.

Clare I didn't even think about it being summer in Australia it seems so odd, to me, to think of Christmas being in the summer but it probably seems odd to you to think of it as a winter holiday. I love your snowflakes and you little ones are nice, too, she is talented for such a young lady :)

We don't even have our tree up yet, except for the little tree out on the porch. Chip doesn't want to put up the tree until Christmas Eve, to give the cats less time to destroy it. ;)

Harry-Bruce always tried to eat the tree.  :'( I miss him so much.

(((Scritzy))) I'm sending you hugs from me and headbutts from my girls (who also try to eat the tree) I'm praying for you that God will give you peace and comfort so you can enjoy your Christmas season.

Thanks. :)

Little Jack is trying to make things interesting for me. And, as you can see from my avatar, Tor just "loves" wearing reindeer antlers.  ::)

:-\ Unfortunately some people don't seem to want to enjoy the site without being a downer for others. My best friend's 9 yo posted several snowflakes with messages like: I Love God and some Bible verses, and someone wrote her some very negative responses under the name of anonymous. What's wrong with some people? Oh, well I'm not going to let them ruin my fun. (Her flakes are listed as Karli from Billings)

I looked, and I didn't see any negative messages - only good ones.  I might not have been looking at the right ones, maybe?
