The Good Things in Life > Extending the hand of kindness
"May" We Tell You You ROCK?! (Remember! Both donors AND NON-donors are stars!)
Bethczar:
I've moved halfway across the state since my last donation, and had to wait for a blood drive to come to town to donate. Here, instead of the prepackaged stuff in the canteen, the local church ladies group makes homemade bars & sandwiches. They encourage you eat eat several. ;D Also, in return for donating, you receive a coupon for a free pint of Culvers frozen custard!
The only downside is that I'm in a different Red Cross district than I was before, so I have to get a new card & I don't think my previous donations will show up on my total.
DottyG:
It's a shame the previous donations don't carry over. But, cool! I'm thinking it's so worth it to get real goodies! I love that!
Congratulations on finding a place to donate! And give one (or more) of those sweet ladies a hug for me next time you go.
Bethczar:
I will, Dottie. They really are sweeties.
nutraxfornerves:
Coming in as the last of April. Donated today, but, alas, I can't find a cute anecdote to append.
But I did schedule my next appointment to coincide with the summertime farmers market across the street.
DottyG:
Donating and then going across the street to get fresh produce. Sounds like a great plan to me!
Congrats on the donation! You're ending our month on a terrific note!!!
