Update on Tim

As many of you may know/remember from former boards, my friend and music minister, Tim, is suffering from nodules on his vocal cords (a very bad thing for a singer to have). Therapy has not helped, so he has been for a consultation regarding surgery. He has been on orders not to speak for almost two weeks now. He's obeying the doctor and not speaking, but it's driving him crazy. :)

Tomorrow he leaves for Nashville for his follow-up. If he has to have surgery, he will have it after the first of the year, and they will not even hazard a guess at his recovery time — maybe not even until Easter!

So if you pray, send mojo, light candles or think good thoughts, please do so for Tim tomorrow and Thursday. He's a dear person, and I can't bear the thought of (a) him losing his job because he can no longer be a worship leader and (b) losing him to another job as he is my best friend at church.

If I couldn't talk I would lose my mind...poor Tim!
You know I don't think that he would lose his job even if he did lose the ability to lead music ministry. There are a lot of things within the church that he could still do. I hate to hear about things like this, it's just not fair.
But there are a lot of amazing things that medical science has figured out that can do just this side of miracles. Maybe Tim will get a great surgeon and you will be laughing about this this time next year. At least, that's what I'm hoping for. Tell Tim to keep the faith, and that we're all rooting for him!
