Mocha,

You are a delight. I love you and so do the guys. What in heaven's name did you get into last night? This morning you were a pouncing fool, pouncing on everything that moved! I know it can't be catnip, since you are too young to be affected by it.

Love,

Mom

I had a ragdoll and when he wouldget up from a nap there was a purrfect outline of him in fur where he had been sleeping.  I have 2 maine coon kittens I am fostering that shed giant poof balls everywhere

I think you need the book that a friend got me for Christmas last year....

It's on Amazon.  Going to try some things even if I only have short hair kitties now.

My late Himmys would have provided some amazing hair.

Tell me about it - Rika's a Himmy, and I've started using an undercoat comb on her. Fur EVERYWHERE...

I think it's called...being a kitten.   :)  I predict lots of pouncing in your future.

Dear Mocha,
We are being insane too..the fall cooler weather is making us sillysillysilly.  The feeder person is angry about the races at night but chasing each other up and down the steps and across various sleeping bodies is so much fun after a miserable hot summer.

The crew

And I must get that book!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm afraid if I get that book my cats will see it and start shedding even more hair.

Actually, being cats, they will probably see the books and STOP shedding. Just to mess with you.

Dear Julian,

What was that dead insect doing in your bowl this morning? I haven't seen a live flying insect in this apartment since we moved in.

Nonetheless, well done.

Dear Skipper,

Bless your big  black lab mix chained up all your previous 6 year old heart.  You are taking to becoming a city slicker with a great deal of joy.

BUT - the lab bump for attention has got to stop.

And pretending your a chi and crawling into my lap.  Your 60#'s - not comfortable on 63 year old legs.

Love ya anyway ya big goofy doofus (trying to talk Pappa into changing your name - hes' not going for it).

Love, you new Mom

I wasn't surprised that Julian killed an insect for us. I was surprised that he just left it floating in his water dish; he used to be of the chase-pounce-eat! school. Wasps included.

Dear Koa,

I give up.  What have you got against that poor bathroom rug?  You have been attacking it like it was your archenemy.  Not that I'm complaining; a vicious wrestling match is much better than Domino's passive-aggressive method of expressing disapproval.  I'm just curious.

Love,

The straightener of wrestled rugs.

"The straightener of wrestled rugs" is so poetic...
Once in a while you get your delight, in the strangest of faces if you look at it right...
