I have to admit, I felt like a potluck freeloader last week.  Our church has a monthly welcome potluck.  The rule is that you bring an equivalent amount of food for what your family will consume plus some extra for the guests (new members we're "welcoming", everyone gets to come without bringing anything to their first one).  As a single person, I usually make one dish and it works.  This month we were having a special harvest festival on a Saturday and it started before I got off work.  I was going to be late to the dinner part so I didn't want to bring late food.  And I was helping out with the crafts part. I was going to run through a drive through so I would get some food.  The woman who was running the event heard about my plans, and told me to just come and eat because I always contributed so much to each potluck, they knew my work schedule and were appreciative I was still willing to help with crafts.  I was the second to last person to go through (most people were done eating and were socializing) and there was still food left.  I was so grateful that they made a point to make me feel included, even reheating some food for me.  However I go to every monthly potluck and always make more than what I consume.

Edited because I had a word wrong.

You're a regular contributer and an organizer told you to come without food.

That is totally different!  Tongue  Smiley

Now I finally know the identity of the fat cabana food thief guy on last week's episode of Rehab: Party at the Hard Rock...
