Help! Can you name my chili?

Can you tell us anything about your chili? Is it really really hot, mellow, with or without beans? What kind of meat do you use? Civil or criminal law?

I ask because my DF's chili is known as "stealth chili" in our house - the heat sneaks up on you.

Shouldn't that be 'cave chilli'? I.E. beware of the chilli?

Quite possibly - my knowledge of Latin grammar is lacking. OK, nonexistent.

Sorry, I was probably a bit glib in putting that in as my Latin is very much dim and distant past. It's just odd phrases I remember now. There was a sign in Pompeii  'Cave Canem', which means 'beware of the dog', which is what came to mind when I saw your list.

It can  be very important to be up on your Latin.  There was a reporter who covered the Vatican who knows latin as all the Vatican announcements are in Latin.  So a couple of weeks ago the Pope announced without fan fare at one of these seemingly  routine press announcement sessions that he was going to step down.  This reporter at first said to herself, "Wait, What?" but realized what he had said and got the scoop.

I ended up going with "So Good It Should Be Chi-Legal"

But I LOVE Chiliat Emptor (my colleagues would have appreciated that one...) and "Hold on to Your Briefs" chili!
