Last night my dream was the me, Beyonce and Jay Z were best friends and Beyonce kept trying to get me to go camping with her.  But I really didn't want to go and kept trying to get rid of her.  LOL!
I wish I knew why people dreamed such weird stuff.

I regularly have vivid dreams that can be really bizarre (bizarre weird, strange, scary, whatever). I'll remember many of them, and sometimes have sequels to previous dreams.

One of the recent ones was the other night. Bit of background first - when I was last in Paris our hosts bought a half-salt butter which I really liked because it had salt, but not too much salt. It was wonderful, and I can't find it here at home. </BG>

In the dream I was in some specialty French food import store, and found some half-salt butter in the dairy case. I was so excited, and brought it and a few other things up to the cash. However, when I looked at the butter again, I discovered that it was shrimp butter (I don't like shrimp). I could have sworn that I picked out half-salt butter, so I go back to the dairy case, and find a whole lot of shrimp butter, but no half-salt. There was even chocolate butter. I was so disappointed when I woke up. And puzzled. I don't know if the shrimp butter had chunks of shrimp in it, or if if was more like apple butter. In the dream I didn't want to get too close to this shrimp butter to find out.

This one is just cute.  My coworker told me he had to wake his son up this morning and the son exclaimed:  'Dad, I just scored a goal!'  So CW asked, 'Was it soccer or hockey?' and son replied, 'I don't know.  I just know I scored a goal!'

All this talk about disaster preparedness has had me dreaming about what I'd do in a disaster, including ones that we aren't likely to have (not likely to have an avalanche since we're nowhere near the mountains)  and things like meteor showers.

A friend on another forum says that if you are prepared with basic supplies, you are equipped to handle 95% of most emergency situations.

I had an utterly bizzare dream last night that involved my husband, our neighbours, a transport truck, and a penguin.  Those are really the only details I recall.  My husband was going to drive a truck with our neighbours (who really are truck drivers).  There was a penguin in our living room.  It was a pet.  I was going to stay home to look after the pet penguin.

It occurred to me part way through my dream that having a pet penguin might not be legal.  But it was a smart penguin.

I started to worry, but then the dream switched gears to involve a good friend and writing partner and an airplane.  I don't really recall any of that dream at all, except that I had to say goodbye to an orange rubber spider when my mother left.

It was a very weird and all-over-the-place set of dreams last night.

I watched a vampire movie where the vamps took over & they had an underground tunnel system.  I think that's how I ended up having an underground tunnel system in my dream...  But it wasn't to protect people from light, it was to protect them from these flying dragons that looked like T-Rex when they landed.  In one part of the dream I was hiding in the garden because the door to the basement wouldn't open & the garden had tents up over the tomatoes to protect them overnight - I was lying still - because that whole T-rex can only see you if you move thing that I learned from Jurassic Park.  The T-rex found me & spoke to me!  It told me that next time I better hide better - and she had the voice of Callie from Grays Anatomy....  But the underground tunnel system was too cool!  They were furnished bunkers with cement jail type bars that slid so you can close off entry to your unit.  Everything was very mod and expensive....  Very very odd...

Before I met DH I used to have a reoccuring dream that I was near to the beach and desparately wanted to walk on it, but was always being dragged away, (either I was too late, or I had to look after someone, or everyone wanted to leave etc).  Now Im with DH, I often have lovely dreams Im walking on those beaches and paddling in the sea.  Weird.

Now though I keep having anixety dreams about animals in pain or that have been abandoned, and Im trying desparately to save them.  Fish are gasping on the ground and Im trying to get them to water but there's too many of them, or ducks or birds caught in plastic wrappers and choking and Im trying to save them by cutting them free but they keep panicing and getting more tangled, or puppies and kittens being buried and Im digging in the dirt until my fingers bleed to save them.  These dreams are happening almost ever week now and I have no idea whats causing them.   :-\

I've had the same dream twice in a couple of months, and it's bothering me.

My dream is this: I'm at my childhood church, late at night, singing at a wedding, but I don't know the bride and groom - and don't see them. After the wedding, I start talking with a guy who's also in the choir, but I don't know him. As we walk over to the fellowship hall, I feel like I might have a crush on him.

This is the most bizarre dream I've had in a while - though, considering I once had a dream about my parents having to fight man - eating checkbooks, this is pretty tame.

I often have strange dreams but don't usually remember them.  I have one recurring dream, but different themes each time.  The dream is that I have to pee really really really badly, and while there are tons of bathrooms, toilets, and stalls, none of them are suitable, broken, clogged, dirty, etc.  So try as I might to actually use one and go, I never succeed.  Then I wake up, and have to go really badly. I think its since I'm such a deep sleeper its my body's way of letting me know i need to go.

And I had one last night which was strange.  I was sitting in my childhood home, at the dining room table with my mom and dad (who is no longer with us), having a nice dinner.  The DR had huge windows, so you could see out to the street.  The table began to shake and move, and we looked out, and the road was buckling, back and forth like a wave, like you see in footage of really bad earthquakes.  Then several large holes opened up, and my car fell in.  Then what seemed to be our dog, also fell in (but was ok).

What's weird about that is I've had issues with my car, which I'm trying to keep running for another year or more, and the dog was the same br**d my dad had as a small child.  Also, I just saw on the news Mexico had a huge earthquake.  I told a couple of friends I hope the car falling into the hole isn't a sign of htings to come!

I've had that one, too.

I have recurring dreams about ships.

In one, I'm boarding an old-style cruise ship.  A rather skeletal steward meets me as soon as I get on the ship.  He takes all my luggage to my cabin and asks, 'Where are we going tonight, Ma'am?'. I get settled in and then whatever dream I'm going to have happens. It isn't in the least threatening but it is a bit odd.

Another is a bit stranger.  I'm on a ship but I don't have a cabin.  I and others are billeted in sleeping bags on a green-painted, boiler-plate steel deck that spans the width of the ship.  Our luggage is piled around us.  A steward comes up and yells that it's formal night and time to get up. We get up, put on our formal wear and get set to down to the lower deck.

Getting there isn't easy.  The lower deck has the dining room, the casino, the shows and the places to drink or dance.  To get there we have to walk across a rope bridge across a gap in the ship.  Below us we can see the sea rushing below us.

Once we're there, everything is fine.  The only problem is that, at the end of our evening of enjoyment we have to make our way back up the swaying rope bridge and get into our sleeping bags.

My mom had a funny one a while back.  BG: a couple years ago, she had some health problems and wasn't able to drive for several months, so she relied on friends and neighbors to run errands etc. or driver her places.  She isn't too close to a Costco, but has friends who go regularly, and will get things for her.  So she needed q-tips, and asked for 2 packs, not realized each pack was a 3 pack.  So she now had six huge packs of q-tips, some of which she gave me and we're both still only halfway through them.  End BG

So her dream was that she was notified that q-tips were being recalled, and she had to check each and every one to see if they had the proper amount of cotton as that was the recall issue.  She still laughs about it, since it was pretty funny.

I have recurring dreams about being back in high school and trying to open my locker but not remembering the lock combo and trying it over and over but I can't remember it. Sometimes in my dreams I go back many years later to try to recover all the stuff that has been lost but once again in the dream I still can't open the locker.

Another recurring dream is about driving a car and pushing the gas but the car won't go, or sometimes trying to stop or park but the brakes wont work and I keep bumping the car into things. Or being attacked and when I try to fight or hit back all my kicks and punches are like being under water and in slow motion so basically useless.

The most frequent dream is being in an emergency and as I try to dial the phone to call 911, it never goes through. I keep dialing it wrong, the phone shuts off, the line is busy...... I'm in a panic but can never get the call to go through.
Someday, somehow, somewhere.....
