Another thread has sparked a few lines that people use to disapprove of a rude statement. I've found that combining words that imply laughter, combined with a tone of voice that's blank / deadpan / disapproving works wonders.

Mine is, as above, "That's a good joke. Tell another joke."

Someone else mentioned "Pull the other one. It hath bells on."

I pretty much dare them to say it again.  I sweetly feign deafness until they get it: "I'm sorry, I must have misunderstood you.  Could you speak up?  What was that again?"  Works quite well.

Sorry, but none of these are bean dip.  Bean dip is a diversion -- introducing a new topic without responding to the old one.  What I've read here are direct responses to what is said without redirection.

Sometimes I use "Good one!" Said very dryly.

Or, if I can get away with it, I try to feign ignorance and take their outrageous statement literally. Then you can say something like, "How unusual! You mean every immigrant you know has actually gotten one of your friends fired and taken their job? What very different circles we must run in! I've never heard of such a thing," etc. etc. until they have to retract their "joke".
