So here's my specific reaction now:

IF she posted - "hey, I'm a literal angel!" - very odd and would have me wondering about the poster's mental condition

IF "hey, my friend Mary thinks I'm an angel/sweetheart" - I would think the poster was bragging ridiculously and would think it very odd

IF "I just wanted to share this poem with you because it made me think of you: - I would personally think it a bit saccharine but sweet

Unfortunately, I doubt we'll ever know what it actually was although I think the third and second options, respectively, are most likely.

It’s one thing to let people know about something great that has happened to you by posting it on their wall, like securing a coveted role in a play or something like that, but something quite different just to spread the word that someone said something nice about you. I don’t understand the point this woman was trying to make by doing that. It’s just plain weird.

Also isn't this kind of what your status is for.  Angel girl is happy that her friend sue said she was an angel.

That I'd roll my eyes (it's something my teenage neices might post) and go on.   If they made a point of putting it on my wall  um ok was that ment for me?  and possibly are you feeling ok? LOL
