Tagging Photos, but I've already tagged them..

When I post a picture that includes people other than myself, I tag myself only and then set the photo as only accessible to me and any others appearing in the photo.  I will then send off a PM to those people and ask them to tag themselves if they wish, or let me know if they would prefer the photo not be made public.  (I have several relatives who are school teachers and after hearing about news stories about a teacher being fired for having a FB photo of herself holding a beer, I have decided that every one of my friends deserves to pre-approve photos of themselves before they appear on my page.)

If I found that one of my friends tagged anyone besides themselves in a photo I wold remove the tag immediately.

I really dislike it when I find I'm tagged in a photo and I haven't had the opportunity to see it first. I was very relieved when I worked out how to untag myself.

Recently a work colleague sent around an email saying that she was planning to make a collage of photos from our Xmas Party to be displayed in our Staff Room, and asking us to let her know if we did NOT want our pictures to be included. Our pictures meaning photos of us, not photos that belong to us. I emailed her back and said that having viewed and been horrified by any pics I am in, could she please NOT include me in the collage. I think the collage is a lovely idea, I just wasn't comfortable being included in it.

I don't think I would ever feel comfortable tagging someone else's photos.  It would bug me if people took it upon themselves to tag mine.

I've noticed that as soon as I upload pictures, people are able to comment on them, even while I am captioning/tagging/organizing, etc. 

I *think* they've improved that somewhat with how you now have to "publish" the photos to your News Feed. I've had it happen to me before also and it's very annoying. Also, if I caption all of my photos at the bottom and click "save" it will ask me if I want to publish. If I hit no and go to another section (edit, or add more) my captions will go away.

Facebook needs an easier photo system, for sure.

Back on topic, I don't mind people asking me to tag photos at all. Though I keep having a fear that I will accidentally tag myself in someone else's photos. I know it's not possible, but that Tag link makes me nervous!
