Can you block a private caller who won't leave a message?

It is your phone and you are paying for it.  You are free to block whomever and whatever from it that you chose and it's not rude to do so, although the inconvenienced party may disagree it doesn't make it true.

Why don't you program his number into your phone with the ringer set to silent for him only?  That way you don't have to incur charges blocking him, and you don't have to notice when he rings.

No advice b/c we haven't had to do this. 

But, WOW!  This guy has been calling multiple times per day for a MONTH?  He must be really desperate for someone to drone at if he goes to that much effort to contact you!

Have you looked into Vonage?  They don't sell TV or internet, so I don't think they are limited by the AT&T/Verizon monopoly agreements.

my folks come up private name, private number.   They are not sophisticated at all in technology, can barely work their answering machine and did not sign up for the DNC list. But since I got caller display years ago their number always is displayed- Private name, private number.  Why, we have no idea.  I'd be hesitant to block all calls that are private name.  Our telemarketers usually come up unknown name, unknown number.

Part of the problem is I don't know his number.  If I knew that, I could block it.  I'm pretty sure it's unlisted.

Four "Private Caller" calls on the Caller I.D. and not one message.  I am pretty sure it's Jerk Relative.  Oh, I wish we could block this.
