My two pence - let him eat his pizza cooked over the fires of E-Hell

What an inflated sense of entitlement Jake has.

I hope Grace broke up with him after that little tirade.
I'm away from sanity right now...please leave a message after the beep.

Heh... the title of this thread is misleading. you KNOW who the ride one was, and you advise Grace accordingly. Good Job, and Good for Grace for standing up for ehrslef and not being a doormat. Hopefully she will realize this is not someone worth remaining friendly with!

How is Grace taking this?  Does she now see the light or is she feeling gulity?  sometimes people who finally stand up to someone may feel really guilty and end up doing something to appease their "friend" like pay the bank fees.

She is feeling guilty.  As I said, they used to date for a while (3 or 4 years ago).  But while examining this issue she realized that she had been there from him over and over and he had not been there for her.

He didn't come to visit or offer support when her mother died and when she needed help to move some of her mother's belongings, he was "too busy".

I think she is seeing that she has been the only one to maintain this friendship.

And yes this has made her depressed a bit at Christmas as she misses her mother and now has a friend telling her how selfish and inconsiderate she is.

It just makes it very hard.

Fiscally Irresponsible - he had nothing to eat except frozen pizza and cookies all weekend Yeah buddy. Call me when you get down to Ramen Noodles and store brand mac-n-cheese and then maybe I'll shed a few tears.

hehehe, I couldnt help but chuckle when I read this. You go KewpieDoll72!

and good for Grace to realize he is a loser.

Jake is the rude one.  And not a very good friend either!  She's better off without him.

That girl is beyond rude! How do you even let her stay in your house? I can only imagine that it is to teach her better manners.

Did she never learn that it is a woman's job to give give give?

Has he never heard the phrase BEHIND every good man is a good woman?

Obviously it is her job to pull him out of scrapes, no matter how long after the official break-up, no matter what time of year or day, no matter how bad the weather or how bad she may be feeling.

[/end sarcasm]

SoMeOne had to answer that she is the rude one!  ;)

Please give Grace this message from me:
RUN, GRACE, RUN!!! Run away from this guy ASAP!

Tell Grace this is a sign from the heavens for her to RUN, now walk, as far away from any "relationship" with Jake as she possibly can! If she is feeling guilty because a spoiled, entitled, selfish, overgrown adolescent insults her, she needs serious therapy to find out WHY she feels the need to be a doormat. Hopefully she will screen her calls, not talk to him, block his email, and do not even listen to any messages he leaves.
I am really serious. RUN!

I believe you'll find it in the latest update of the Faux Pas of the Year section. The story about the woman whose friend offered to host a surprise birthday party for the poster's husband. The friend/hostess asked if it would be ok to invite some people the poster and hubby didn't know. Poster said OK, then it wound up with the hostess saying, "I've decided this is my party now."

Ehell Dame offered a spit to roast the "hostess" upon.
