Separate your business persona from your personal one, they really are two different things and should be treated that way.

Also, be selective about who you invite.  I'm so tired of invitations for people's new businesses when I haven't heard from them otherwise.  I used to point out that I live on the opposite coast now, and they took the opportunity to remind me that they have gift certificates, or an online shop, or to please pass it on to my mother who they've never met.

I agree with the second facebook page for your business. I have a couple friends who have done that and it feels much better than them using their personal page. Also, if they go overboard with updates, I can block the business but not the friend.
