I don't understand why anyone thinks the OP is in the wrong for unfriending this person when people are on here every day saying they have defriended people for political postings, rude posts etc - FB is supposed to be something *FUN* and if this person, who doesn't seem to be a particularly close friend to begin with is making FB awkward for the OP why wouldn't she delete her?

And its all well & good that some of you have really "ribbing" relationships with your friends, but this is clearly not the case w. the OP & telling her that what she posted sounds "pretty mild" and "I'd hate for you to see what my friends tell each other" is really not that helpful.  Is she not entitled to her feelings because "you" (general) don't think its that bad?

I clearly said in my first post - defriend anyone you want.

I am really failing to see, however, what is so altogether scary and rude and personal and hostile about asking "How did you get so many points?"

What she posted sounds pretty standard (actually pretty mild). It's just ribbing. Many people find it more fun to play if there is some competition.

I'd hate for you to see what my friends tell each other. It doesn't really mean anything. I mean, I don't actually want to eat the still beating heart of my best friend when she beats me at tetris and I'm pretty sure her fingers are not actually bleeding from the effort, nor will she literally burn down my house and raze my crops.

You are welcome to defriend her. It's just facebook, but I don't think she's the one whose taking it too seriously.

Man, I wanna be on YOUR friendlist.

Sounds like a lot of fun.

My feelings change slightly because this is a friend of a friend.  The OP owes this woman nothing and has no incentive to maintain the relationship

That being said, I don't see how this one message was so terrible.  Just going on the message that was posted, I don't see anything hostile or aggressive.  Were there a series of message before this that led you to defriend this woman?  (I will say, though, I do think it's odd to send that kind of message to someone you don't actually know.)

No it is actually numerous emails and IM's.  I realized I didn't mention that.  It was over a few weeks time that I finally went ahead and defriended her.   I don't know this person at all actually.  She was "reccommended" to me as a friend from another friend  because she needed more neighbors to "upgrade" her farm and cafe world.

As stated I don't mind a little ribbing but when it comes to numerous emails or IM's as to how did I get so many points and what was I doing and how was I beating her so much etc.  This is Farmville or Cafe World for crying out loud, it isn't a big deal.  She was just took it so personal that she was "losing" to me etc which threw me off.  If it is overreacting on my part, oh well.

She sent you numerous emails or IMs about this?  Heck, yeah, I'd defriending her too.  I play Facebook for fun.  Someone taking it that seriously?  No thanks.

I'm at level 50 (the highest level) on Yoville.  If someone IMed me or sent me emails complaining about it, I'd defriend them too.  I like Yoville, I play it a lot.  I don't see why that'd be an issue to anyone at all.

Pfft, well then, absolutely defriend her.  Essentially a stranger has been hassling you about something you don't care about.

(P.S. In a lot of those games, you can add the person as a friend, add them in whatever games, and then defriend.  You'll still have your neighbor/mafia member/whatever but that person is not able to interact with you.  When I was still playing Mafia Wars, I added at least 100 people that way.)

You were annoyed/she was annoying, she's not a friend IRL, you defriended her.  No big deal.  I don't think you overreacted -- IMO, it's as if you swatted an annoying mosquito.
