Posts on old forum

Is there a way to retrieve copies of posts from the old forum?  Two other members suggested that I submit a story for the archives.  Unfortunately, I didn't make a copy. :-[  and the server crash happened before I figured out how to submit the story.  Is there anything to do other than re-writing the story?
