What weird/outrageous requests have you seen on Freecycle/Craigslist?

Ginlyn32, I had the opportunity to meet WarBaby - DH wasn't keen on me going out with a strange guy I had just met on the internet.  I pointed out that any "strange guy" who hangs around etiquette sites and suggests brunch at Shoney's for the meetup probably isn't too scary    (And WarBaby turned out to be a perfectly wonderful guy, by the way!)

Slartibartfest, not saying I wouldn't do a meet n' greet. But you have to admit it's ALOT different from driving cross-country with a near-stranger.

I've met Schmoopie-poo and Bibliophile...but we met at a restaurant.

I don't know...I just think his sister was looking out for her brother. Not saying Schwm would do anything, but how was his sister supposed to know that?

Hoooo-boy, check out what this person is asking for this morning.  Each of these requests was a single, one-line post with "$ITEM Wanted, can p/u in $MYCITY"...

1) Double jogging stroller
2) Medela breast pump
3) Playskool play kitchen set
4) Playskool outdoor play house
5) Papasan infant swing
6) Girls clothing 12mo - 3T
7) Toddler bed and bedding
8.) Crib and bedding
9) Changing table

Guess what, this woman's back!  Today's requests are again IN ALL CAPS with "WANTED $ITEM $MYCITY" as the headline:

1) Double jogging stroller
2) Medela breast pump
3) Pack-n-play

At least this time we got slightly more substance in the message body, again IN ALL CAPS, mentioning that she REALLY NEEDS THESE ITEMS AND CAN PICK UP ASAP!!  At least she closed each one with THANKS so I suppose that's a (minor) point in her favor....

Here's today's awesome post from my Freecycle list...

I am looking for some gardening stuff so I can make an attempt to grow my own vegetables.
I am looking for any of the following;

Tomato cages
top soil
Lg planting containers
Mulch
Compost
plant starters or seeds
small amount of Horse manure
Wood pallets
rain barrel
watering can
Sun Shine (lol)
and what ever else may help with my venture.

Every little bit helps.

So she wants to grow tomatoes, but doesn't want to put any effort or money into the project.  I wonder if she'll be asking for people to come water and weed her tomatoes in a few weeks?
