What little things drive you completely up the wall....?

DH is taking a 3 week class in learning how to repair appliances and I get an email from him today telling me to stop using dryer sheets because they're just bad for them.  I'm sure I'll get a more in depth explanation later.

The annoying thing? I just bought a new box of fabric softener sheets. Grr.  I'm going to ask dh "Just how bad? Can I get away with using this last box so I don't waste the money?"

I've heard they can coat the lint collector so it isn't pourous anymore, so it becomes a fire hazard.

I've heard not clearing the lint can cause a fire hazard, and we do that all the time.  But I have noticed sometimes it's a bit harder to clear everything.

I don't mean just cleaning out the lint.  I mean washing the lint screen with soap and water and a toothbrush to scrub off the dryer sheet chemicals.

Google's spell check function. It must be the absolute worst in the world. It doesn't even recognise 'googling' as a word and it is about its own company. There is no option to change it from US to UK English so words that are spelt correctly is doesn't recognise. Also you might be one letter off and the options give you something that is utter nonsense.

I have written to them about it but they are probably all too busy skateboarding or something.

She is just writing the word correctly.

Not blueyzca01, but our family has a sliding rack under the sink where we put them, or we use paper towels to dry our hands after washing in the kitchen sink.

To be fair, if Google was to recognize googling, they'd be in danger of losing a trademark. (See also, Kleenex, Xerox, Coke...)

Not blueyzca01, but our family has a sliding rack under the sink where we put them, or we use paper towels to dry our hands after washing in the kitchen sink.

So how do they air? The under sink is enclosed----------um, yuk.

I have insisted upon airing towels in the four kitchens I have designed. Paper towels for hands works, and clean towels for dishdrying works for me. But for a quick wipe in the kitchen, towels on the stove handle works quite well with no dogs around. "Dogs, noses.........uck.)
