"I just can't get you outta my head..."
Sandi Papaya:
OK, girlfriends (and boys, if you are out there and so inclined), help me out here...
I'm compiling a list of dancy, clubby tunes to DL off iTunes and grab off my own iTunes playlist to make a mix of my favorite dance-pop-type love songs, like the above-mentioned "Can't Get You Outta My Head" by Kylie Minogue and "I Turn to You" by Melanie C. (yes, of Spice Girls fame, but her solo music is amazingly good - and diverse). Madonna, too, like "Beautiful Stranger" and her later, more modern-sounding stuff so it fits in here.
HOWEVER, there is a caveat - anyone who mentions Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Celine Dion, Whitney Houston or Mariah Carey will be bound and gagged and cast into the depths of eHell, and I don't care if Mariah and I share the same birthday, as was pointed out to me several years ago (she's five years older than me).
Trance, dance-pop, house, R & B, whatever the sound, chuck your suggestions at me - but the tunes must be DANCEABLE and must be CLUBBY, not that sappy, slow-dancing dreck, but high-energy, bouncy, trancy or just plain cool. I'm looking through my collection right now because I know I have some good ones, but the NyQuil may take effect before I'm done searching.
Even bubblegum Europop such as the A*Teens (oooh! That gave me a good one! "Upside Down") will be acceptable, so long as it is danceable (and most Europop is, so I'm not scared of that). Europop from years past, like Roxette or a-Ha or Ace of Base is also acceptable (how scary is it that I know this much Europop? I'm not sure). Erasure, Pet Shop Boys - all acceptable. Britney Spears - not acceptable. Paris Hilton - NOT ACCEPTABLE. I'm afraid my iTunes would catch some kind of virus from her. Jessica Simpson - definitely not acceptable. Ashlee Simpson - also not acceptable.
And no mush, dreck and/or sap. :p This is a very special iTunes mix, for a very special purpose - ie, getting me up and going in the mornings - and also for listening to in the car whenever I'm with Paul. Yeah, yeah, I'm a right minx, go ahead and say it. :p I'm calling it my GirliTunes mix, so he can't figure out what I'm up to. :p

I always love the song "Don't Call Me Baby" by Madison Avenue, and I think it fits the bill, genre wise. I might have to go make a similar playlist now...
Clara Bow:
Fergie "London Bridge"
Blur "Boys and Girls"
Depeche Mode anything Depeche Mode but you have to have "Personal Jesus"
Prince "Get Off" (okay, raunchy, but that is my JAM)
Prince "Black Sweat"
Anything Dirty Vegas...
That about taps me out!
ItZWhoUKnow:
