TY note for Christmas present?
« on: December 22, 2006, 09:50:52 AM »
My bosses came around yesterday and gave everyone chocolate (good bosses!) and a little Christmas card.  My card had a movie theatre gift card and quite a bit of "popcorn money" in cash.  It also had a little note that said, in effect, "Let's keep this between us"

I think everyone got something in their card, and I would guess that mine falls in the high to middle range of the gifts.

Since it was so personalized and because they went above and beyond, do I give them a little card, or are TY notes never required for Christmas gifts?

I think that since they "personalized" it somewhat. I would leave a TY card on someones desk the generic - Thanks, you made my day kind of card.  nothing about what or how much they gave you.

Huh? Do you mean for a situation with one's boss, or in general regarding all people?
