Ugh. It's the 21st and things are bought. But nothing is wrapped, no Christmas cards have been sent (I bought them last year and now can't FIND them), I'm still recovering from my stupid accident, and I don't even have any idea what I'm doing either on the 24th or the 25th. My cousin "June" is hosting Christmas day at her house but...it's June, and I'm not sure my presence there will be welcomed (although I know my presents are, because it said so on the invite - "Bring lots of presents!"). I bought each of her kids a token gift and am splitting the cost of the adults' gift with my mom just to avoid having to go through the hassle of finding them some kind of stupid present at the last minute.
To top it all off, I'm sick (got a cold), and I have to go to the doctor's tomorrow to arrange for a biopsy of my liver.
I am EXHAUSTED, and I'm not even looking forward to it all anymore - time completely got away from me. I just want to stay in bed and forget the whole holiday exists. I had been so looking forward to it when I was still recovering from my accident but with my grandma still in the hospital, me being sick and having to go in for liver biopsies...well, it's not looking so merry and bright. I might end up a couple of days behind on account of being sick, but we'll see what happens.
MsMoonBunny, it sounds like you and I are in the same boat. It's too bad we can't just get together for Christmas and do something low key and fun! :p
I finally finished my shopping yesterday. I think. But now I can almost not set foot in my ling room for the presents that need to be wrapped. And why is it that wrapping presents is so exhausting and leaves you sore all over? I have never quite figured that out!
Well I'll be wrapping all afternoon and all night to get it done. I am bound and determined that I will NOT have to finish wrapping things after the kids go to bed on Christmas eve like I usually do.
Good luck, and whenever June acts up, you can just start mentally composing your forum posts in your head. Better yet, bring a notebook and start jotting them down. you can tell everyone it's your journal
