Re-gifting to yourselves...

Thipu1:
...Do you Ever Do This ???

Some years ago, Mr Thipu requested and received a book of origami patterns.  He seemed happy with the gift at the time but never used it.  This week I found the book and it was in pristine condition.  I thought about an in-house re-gift.

This Thanksgiving, origami became quite popular in our family.  My SIL put up a string of icicle lights in the dining room.  She made an origami box to cover each little lamp.  The effect was wonderful!  It was festive and appropriate for any holiday.  ;D

The grandchildren were getting old enough to learn how to fold. Great Grandma  knew the art well.  On the Friday after Thanksgiving, a group of us sat down after lunch and learned how to fold.  We used up a ream of plain, white paper and laughed a lot. It was an afternoon of family enjoyment.

I remembered that when I found Mr. Thipu's old Origami book.  Right around the corner from our house there's an art supply shop.  I picked up a nice, big supply of Origami paper, wrapped it with the book and put it on Mr. Thipu's side of the tree with a tag that reads, "From the Ghost of Christmas Past".  I don't think that was a bad thing to do.
