At a sewing fair recently I bought some chocolate whisky fudge and it tasted great. I have searched online and the only recipe I found resulted in a sloppy, sludgy mess. Comparing it to a normal fudge recipe, I realised the one I tried had less than half the usual amount of sugar in it. So of course it never reached the soft ball stage even after 30 minutes boiling and only reluctantly approached it when I added another two cups of sugar. Stirring in melted chocolate made it edible but I'd like to try again with a proper recipe.
Does anyone have a whisky fudge recipe (with or without chocolate) they are willing to share?
