Many years ago, my son took swimming lessons at the Y.
Each class met in a different section of the pool, so many classes were in session at once.
The classes finished right before Christmas. At the last class, many (but not all) teachers handed out candy canes to their students. So many students saw others running around with candy.
My son didn't get one and asked me if he had flunked.
Had I known this beforehand, I would have gladly shelled out two bucks for candy for the class.
Would I have been contributing to the problem?
Should the teachers have done this own their own. I knew the aquatics director personally and she was nice, so I told her of this AFTER the fact, I'm sorry to say.
She said she would rectify the situation.
