Yes, he was a monster. In the end, he reaped as he sowed. What is most disturbing to me now, is the fact that we must all be subjected to the video and "play-by-play" descriptions on the news, every fifteen minutes.
Now, while I can understand the usefulness of "proving" that he's actually been executed, I don't care what he wore, if he showed fear, how long it took for him to die...etc, etc. They're getting positively, disgustingly morbid with some of the questions being asked of those who were there as witnesses.
We've just experienced the death of a former President...and it's being put on the proverbial "page two" of media coverage at the moment, in deference to Saddam and a re-hash of all the atrocities that cost him the ultimate punishment?
