In the "Things that have made you happy" thread I mentioned getting some costume parts for our visit to Dapper Day at Disneyland. Here are Mrs.k2002 and me at the event.

For those of you who are going to ask, Mrs.k2002's hat came from The Village Hat Shop in San Deigo. Excellent service -- they shipped very quickly.

It is lovely hat!  I think you are correct that a number of people will want to know where she got it.   :)

I definitely think you both nailed the 'dapper' part.
After cleaning out my Dad's house, I have this advice:  If you haven't used it in a year, throw it out!!!!.

Thanks! We had a great time. Lots of people dressed up, despite the heat (100 degrees on Sunday.) The vendors had some great stuff, too. For those of you on the East Coast, the Dapper Day event is at Disney Hollywood Studios on 9/27. The Expo will be at the Boardwalk Inn. There are discount tickets available.

Here are some other photos from the Disneyland event.

Great pics, Art.  I startled for a moment because you look very much like my ex-FIL.

So much that for a fleeting moment I actually thought 'What's (fil's name) doing with that lady with the cool hat?'  >:D

This is one of my orphan kids. It's a terrible selfie, but this is Kimmy.

D'awwwww, what a cutie!

I would post a picture of my new calico kitty, Kira, if I could figure out how to do it from my ipad.  :-[

The lamb hat I knitted for littlest pirate boy.  :) I like the yarn for it's ability to hide some sins with my knitting, but it did make sewing on the ears a bit interesting. And they're a bit uneven but it can just look like the lamb's got one ear perked up to what's going on.

How cute and fuzzy!
