DBNY.com is a good site

I just tried it, and ended up on teachkind.com instead.

sorry about that you actually have to spell it out.  I use a bookmark in my browser to get to it and use the abbreviation.  I will go back and edit my original post as well

For myself, DH, DSil, DN and his girlfriend, we were in Toronto doing some shopping for Black Friday, and had to stop at a Walmart, and there was a Popeyes Louisiana Chicken in the plaza, so we decided to stop in and have a bite to eat. Well where do I start? Let me see, I had ordered a 3 piece WHITE MEAT combo MILD with mashed potatoes  NO gravy, I see the lady putting gravy on my potatoes, I remind her, I requested no gravy, no big deal, right? I asked if I could please have some butter for the potatoes and biscuit, as the lady ahead of me was offered some for her corn, but the clerk SNAPPED at me, WE DON'T HAVE BUTTER, ok, no biggie. We get to our table, I discover that I was given ALL WINGS, so I bring my order back, explain to the counter person that I had ordered all white meat, and she got all snotty with me, trying to tell me that what I got WAS white meat, and then tried to back pedal and say that oh, you have to pay $1.30 extra for white meat. Keep in mind here, I had specified when I ordered, that I wanted all white meat. She then took one of the wings and replaced it, I get back to the table, she gave me spicy chicken! I didn't bother going back after that fiasco, turns out she and another employee were gossiping about DH and I VERY loudly in front of customers! Oh yes, DSIL's poutine was ice cold and wasn't any better when she asked for a replacement. We did ask to speak to a manager, but of course there wasn't one available, how convenient! Tried calling the phone number on the receipt, but there was no store number on there either. That was my first time at a Popeyes, and definitely my last time! #### Dazi • like the flower • Member • Posts: 5415 ##### Re: "I'm never shopping THERE again!" Share your story! « Reply #5150 on: November 30, 2013, 06:51:42 AM » Yesterday I was shopping for something very specific. I found it on a website and called the brick and mortar store to see if it was still available. This is not a chain, but an independent business (no Black Friday sales of any kind). I called because all there were was photos, not available stock listed on the website. After being assured that it was absolutely there, I drudged to my car, battling traffic to drive 30 miles to go get it. I get there to find the product I wanted was not there. I asked the guy at the counter and he's never seen product. He goes to asked the owner who informs him that they've been out of stock for months and he only got 4 the last time he placed an order. To top it off, he admitted that the website hadn't been updated for nearly a year. Why in the hell then did some idiot at your store tell me that what I wanted was there? I would have never driven over if you didn't have it, especially with the crazy special event and Black Friday (Oh, I'm a pottymouth extraordinaire!) traffic I had to go through to get there. The kicker is, I' m moving a few blocks a way from their business and probably would have spent a lot of money in there, but not now, not ever. Meditate. Live purely. Quiet the mind. Well, wings are considered white meat. But I've never heard of anyone being given just wings in a white meat meal.

I've never heard of wings being considered white meat. They're categorized as dark meat by everyone I've ever known (in the U.S.). Is it different outside of the U.S.?

I've always thought of them as a category of their own.

When you order a white meat quarter chicken dinner at Swiss Chalet, you get the breast with the wing attached.

But if I ordered a 3 piece white meat meal and got three wings?  I'd be pretty ticked.  There isn't exactly a lot of meat on the wing.

I used to work in a deli; the light meat chicken meal came with a breast and a wing, and the dark meat came with a leg and a thigh.

I'd be upset if I ordered a 3-piece white meat meal and paid extra for it and got three chicken wings. Not OK.

If I did not have to deal with UPS as a few of my favorite retailers use them for shipping... grrr.

I ordered the last part of my mother's present.  I got the notice via UPS about estimated delivery date and time.  Of course, UPS does not think that some people do work day shifts and/or cannot have things delivered to their office for a start.  I tried to do the will call pickup, and the website says \$3.50 for the privilege.  I my have to bite the bullet and pay up....Good Grief!!!!

Gotta rant again about our mail carrier (I posted about this earlier -- she was leaving packages sit in the middle of the driveway.)

Back about the end of September, there was an envelope in my mailbox that was not intended for my address.  So I put it back in the box for the carrier to pick up and re-deliver.  Two days later, it shows up in my box again.  I leave it in the box to be delivered to the correct address and two days later....  Yep.  There it is again.  So I circle the address and write a big note that it was NOT my address, please re-deliver to the CORRECT address.

That envelope sat in my mailbox for well over 2 weeks before it finally disappeared.  (I can't get to the post office during the week thanks to their very late opening and very early closing times and I wasn't home on weekends to take it to the post office then.)

This weekend, I go to the box to pick up the mail, and in the cornfield there behind the box, I see an envelope.  So I hike down to get it, thinking it was something for me that had blown out of the box.  Nope.  Original envelope that never got delivered to the correct address.  The carrier apparently got tired of seeing it in the box so she just threw it down into the field.

I came in late to work today just so I could take that envelope to the post office and tell them the whole saga about it and where it was eventually found.

Someone's gettin' in trooooouuuuuubbbbbbbleeeeee!!!!!!

No (US here)--wings are white meat.  But when ordering "white meat" you shouldn't just get wings.  A "white meat" order could include one wing but it should have breasts too!

Still, I love me Popeyes so I think I would avoid that server and keep on going!

If I ask for all white meat chicken, I presume that means breast pieces.  Most places like KFC do it that way , at least the ones I've been to.
