Ahhhhh, Latin nerdiness is basically my favoritest thing in the world.

- when you spend 3 hrs a week in Latin class, and then decide to join 2 Latin clubs a week outside of class just because. :D
- when you've basically stopped reading the Bible in English because you have a copy of the Vulgate :D
- when you've accidentally spoke Latin to someone instead of English
- when you've received texts...in Latin
- when your Facebook is set to Latin
- when your roommate and you argue in Latin :D

When your english professor mentions liking Monty Python and the Holy Grail and then saying "Bring me a shrubbery".

Or saying "Feed me Seymore, Feed me!" when our short story mentions the "red juice from a steak"

...you name your cat Schroedinger.

...you erupt into a volcano of squee every time ThinkGeek puts out a new catalog.

You spot actors from Sci-Fi series in other shows/moves before your hugely sco-fi nerd husband does... On many occasions.. Yeah, he still loves me though and is proud of me..

You have parents who named their cats Riker and Jean Luc, and the dogs Odo and Ripley.

You have Hallmark Star Trek Christmas Tree ornaments on your Christmas tree.. (Yep, got them all!)

Judging from your sig pic, I think the quote is "Splott?" "I think estate agents call it Sploe" ??
Did you also know that the writer of that episode lives in Splott? :) Helen something or other... (LEVEL UP on the geekiness, innit?)

That's the one.  ;D

Sadly, no one I know has the foggiest idea who John Barrowman is.

You can watch "Flubber" and actually see the bits of real science they slipped in there in midst of the fiction. Hee.

The older members of the family have banned you from playing Trivial Pursuit, while the younger members offer bribes for answers they don't know.

When you can visit your mother, who comments that she's trying to write a resignation letter, and you go into the bookshelf, grab a book you haven't read in 25 years, and flip to the page that shows exactly the type of letter she wants. Then go back to reading Feist while everyone else boggles at you.

That you can recite scene, episode, season, and character exposition on your favourite sci-fi chracter from a show that hasn't been on for 12 years -- but have difficulty remembering to get the milk within minutes of leaving home.
Good news! Your insurance company says they'll cover you. Unfortunately, they also say it will be with dirt.

You play The Game.

No, not that Game (incidentally, you just lost).

I hate you ;)

Back on track:
... when you realize that an anagram of your maiden name is "Damnation, I'm a girl nerd!" and you immediately tell your hubby that if you ever become famous for something IT-related, you're using maiden name as your professional name, just for that reason.

-When you say the idea men are more active than women is a semiotic myth; and when asked "in which sense?" your first impulse is to reply "in the Barthesian sense"

Those poor people. :(

He's on his UK tour next month. I've been toying with the idea of nipping across to the next town over to see him sing. ;D

When you spend way too long trying to figure out what MariaE's maiden name is.  ;D
I searched for nothing on the Internet and got 175,000,000 hits.

When someone at work makes an ISBN joke and you laugh.

And then repeat the joke to others.

You have Hallmark Star Trek Christmas Tree ornaments on your Christmas tree.. (Yep, got them all!)

I have all of the Star Wars ornaments except Jar Jar Binks.  I refuse to acknowledge Jar Jar Binks' existance.

I also haven't put up a Christmas tree in years.  Might have to do one this year, just to see how many ornaments I have by now.
