When some of my cousins and I were young, we liked to play in the dog's crate. Our dogs were very large - so about five of us would go into the crate and absolutely beg our parents to lock us in - which they did, of course. We had lots of fun and the grown-ups didn't have to wonder where the kids were.

Found a pic! The blonde in the back is ShieldMaiden and I'm in there somewhere behind her lol:

'I shall sit here quietly by the fire for a bit, and perhaps go out later for a sniff of air.  Mind your Ps and Qs, and don't forget that you are supposed to be escaping in secret, and are still on the high-road and not very far from the Shire!' -FOTR

My 14yo DS is interested {in a good way!!} in "things that go boom". He's actually seriously considering a career as a military engineer.

Last night, he met me at the door with a huge grin.
"I've got the best.homework.ever!"

"What....???" said me, cautiously.

"We have to pick something and find out how combustible it is."

My response?
"Well, in the interest of accurate results, you really should gather a variety of materials and test them..."

 ;D

Yeah, he had fun. Safe, educational, fun.

You are an AWESOME mom.

Seriously.
You are only young once. After that you have to think up some other excuse.

I think every family needs a photo of caged children.

My Gilla Monsters, er, nieces in my dog Jack's crate.   ;D

They crawled in and closed the door themselves!  Honest - it wasn't my idea.  Though it's something I would do if I was small enough  8)

I am grateful for the friends I have made on EHell and everything I have learned, but it is time I move on.
