Stocking my Fridge
« on: October 03, 2010, 01:22:21 AM »
I have an arrangement with a farm that delivers me a box of produce each week.  Over the last 2 years, I've become friends with the owners.  I went back to school full time this month and worked hard to make sure they would still fit in my budget.  They've decided to double my weekly delivery, and throw in a pound of rice or beans, for the same price.  The couple keeps saying it's food they'd be tossing to the chickens, and they appreciate me sharing recipes I've come up with for some more unusual veggies.

But I'm so touched that they're being so generous, and am really relieved to know that at the very least, I will be the best fed student in my program.

Yay! I hope you are talking them up to others! Not mentioning the free food, of course, but just saying you buy from them and the food is always fresh and delicious, etc.
The status is not quo!
