To not make any resolutions so that when I don't accomplish them I don't feel like a loser ;)

Actually they are:
1) Lose 20 pounds. I think in a year I can do it.
1a) Keep it off!
2) Cook more
3) Be more organized at home (files, books, etc.)
4) Stop being a renter and become an owner! I am very excited about this one
5) Finally (!!!) finish graduate school. I should finish in Dec 07.

1.) to stop stressing. I am the queen of stress.
2.) to be a good mother (due in March!)
3.) to laugh more

Among mine:

Clean my office before I kill myself tripping over something.

Continue to lose weight. (Forty pounds in five years!)

Make a quilt (even though the one I made in November drove me nuts).

Remove the carpet from and paint the bedroom.

Drink more Coke. (Hey, I have to have one resolution that I know I'll keep!  ;D )

It will pass. Or not.

I thought I would quit smoking.  But alas, I've "cheated" a few times already, since midnight...doggone it!

Diva, there are still 364 other days this year to work on quitting smoking. You haven't blown it for the year, only for one morning. Don't give up!! (said in my most supportive cyber voice)

Mine are something like this:

1. To eat better and get more exercise and lose about 50 annoying lbs!

2. To quit smoking!

Both of which will improve my skating, I'm sure!

3. To start writing again.

4. Get the house painted this year (on the inside).

5. Get the stupid backyard fixed up.  (I tried to make ground-level flowerbeds, but the Bermuda grass took them over.  I'm making raised beds this year.)

Looks at the screen, looks around and wonders if she has another personality who already typed her list!!!

EXACT SAME LIST, escpt I am adding, make ore time to read.

OH, and I have blue tape on my trim, I finished the walls and now just have the trim and the newly installed doors to paint...it is been up there for about 8 months...SIGH

1: to continue losing weight (I dropped nearly three dress sizes in the past year!) so that by this time next year, I can walk into any clothing store and find something that fits me in the Misses section instead of getting everything from the Women's section.

2: to do a better job of keeping my husband supplied with good, nutritious food that won't negatively impact his diabetes.

3: to finish more of the projects I start.

I think that's enough to be getting on with! LOL!

Ha ha! I can relate.  I bought all the brushes and tape and stuff and haven't taken it out of the bag!

I read all the time so that's no biggie, but spring semester starts soon and I wont' have time to read for fun.  :P  Which brings up another one:

6.  To NOT get behind on my schoolwork this semester.  Do a little every day instead of doing it all at the last minute!

Here are mine - I agree that writing them out there may actually make me stick to them!

1.  Send out birthday cards to all of my extended family - I'm 25, my mom shouldn't still be signing my name on those!
2.  Not letting my fear of not being in a relationship keep me from ending one that might not be going anywhere.  (this is so hard for me!)
3.  Not be so shy when I go to a national conference in March - networking is my friend!
4.  Prepare fully for the interviewing season in the fall, and not get myself down about not being good enough to get a job - grad school has got to end!!!!! (hopefully #3 helps with this!)
5.  Finally finish my research project that has been going on for 5 years!
