The whole "bre*eders" = irresponsible parents thing gets a little annoying when we're talking about pets.

Yeah but given how hard it is to swallow when someone uses the word b*reeders to refer to irresponsible parents, I'm perfectly happy to put an asterisk in the word when referring to an actual b*reeder of animals.

Errr . . . . that's not a no-no is it? I know that trying to get around the word filter is *really* frowned on. But if I'm doing the run-arond to actually refer to a dog b*reeder is it still a no-no?

I opened this thread to ask this exact thing!  I find myself talking about breeding fish now and then, and I've always wondered if this was acceptable.

ETA:  I've figured out most of the word filter replacements, but I do want to know what turns into "ooh, I tried to get a nasty word past the filter." (or something like that).

I was wondering about that one, too.  In the posts I've seen it in, it doesn't seem like the poster's trying to use any kind of 'naughty' word.

I admit a bit of curiosity about that myself.

Well, I guess I could just type in a string of profanity and vulgarities and find out what happens ...

You know, when the birdie overhead goes, "Plop, plop, fizz fizz, oh, what a relief it is!" all over your car.

The word is gluteus maximus.

Okay, no that wasn't it, but I thought it might be because in another post someone said, "He would be out on his" - and then it said, Ooo, I tried to get around the filter with a nasty word."

What could it be but another word for donkey? It's not bottom spelled the British way is it?

Edited again: No, that's not it! Quick, what are synonyms for rear end?

ETA: Guess not since I typed it that way.

No, the word filter puts in "gluteus maximus" if you type the synonym for donkey.

Hmm, if you typ @ followed by two $ ( a common way of spelling [hind end] online) you get "yoohoo! Moderators! Ban me now!"

Note to self: Ehelldame REALLY doesn't like it when you try to get around the word filter

LOL!!

I like it!!

And I just discovered the other one. If you type a followed by $$ that is when you get "Ooo, I tried to get around the word filter with a nasty word.".
You are only young once. After that you have to think up some other excuse.
