Geldorf, that made me laugh! He hates them, hmmm interesting. Well I think they're OK. I mean they aren't my favorite songs but I don't hate them either, they aren't bad. Although some of the actual singing on We Are The World isn't that great.

I've contemplated doing a line-by-line deconstruction of the song and sending to the writer with everything that's wrong with it.  It's good to know I don't have to do that now, as even thinking about the tripe and drivel (not to mention plain geographical and cultural ignorance) gives me a headache.

Well, he's entitled to his own opinion. Doubly so, since he wrote them. Personally, to me it's just not the holidays without "Do They Know It's Christmas", although that's more for the warm fuzzy memories of the Eighties it brings back.

"We Are the World", however, is a truly craptastic song. Bad then, even worse now.

I AM in the US, I don't go to malls between Thanksgiving and mid-January, I don't listen to stations that play music and I know this song well enough that I know have it going through my head!  Blargh!
