Short version: Husband, wife, and baby get lost and nearly run out of gas. They end up on a reservation and are helped by strangers. The end of the story especially made me teary-eyed!

Is anyone else hearing Bugs Bunny saying, "I knew I shoulda made that left turn at Albuquerque!"?

But seriously: What a sweet story. It had me thinking of my brother and his wife, who also waited many years to start their family, and when they did, they named their son Drew, just like the author's little boy.

I hope Deity/Karma rewards that sweet family generously for their kindness.
