I need to resurrect this thread to tell you about the sign I just saw at a florist shop, advertising  "BOKAYS" for sale.

Jeez... When I first read that I didn't have the word 'flowers' visible and had no idea what that was supposed to say!

That makes me want to cry a little. 

In the building in which I work, we have beautiful Terrazo floors in the lobby. As you can imagine, they can get slippery when it's raining outside, even with the carpets laid along the entry way. Every time it rains, they put out those little yellow wet floor signs. Every single one is marked "loby."

I'm involved in the music program at my church as part of the worship team. There's one song that I have to work hard not to giggle during, as our lyric sheets refer to God as the:

"Defender of the week" (instead of "Defender of the weak")

I'm lucky my team has a sense of humor, as they laughed when I asked who it was next week.

And on a less-funny note, I have a book (on writing of all things), compiled by a bunch of authors. One chapter is so riddled with grammatical errors that it's actually difficult to understand what the guy is trying to say. Luckily it was the least useful chapter in the book (or maybe I just think that because I can't get the right meaning out of it...).

*LOL* I always pronounce it (in my head) exactly as it's spelled and it makes me giggle. Just like when a friend and I were in a mall and we saw a kiosk selling hermit crabs. The sign said "Craby Island." I would not shut up about cray-bee island all day and to this day, she and I still say we are feeling "craby" when we are crabby.

My boss, when letting me know a link to a document doesn't work, will say "the link is broke"  Why no, it's not broke, but BROKEN.  Drives me nuts.

On a bunch of city buses, the yellow tape that you push to signal a stop is broken. Written all over them is "don't work" and "its broke." *shudder*

We must have the same boss!!!  If it's spelled correctly & contains no grammatical errors, it's not really from him.  Shortly after starting I was looking through our folders & asked if we had a person named Manuel working with us.  He replied with "no, why?"  "Well, all of our office manuals are in "Manuel's" folder."     That typo still isn't fixed.

Out of curiosity, why haven't you fixed it?

My grocery store has the permanent sign for "ten items or fewer."  Yes! 
But almost daily, a cashier, or a boss?  handwrites "ten item's or less" and tapes it to the end of the aisle.

At one company I worked at, the receptionist once took a phone message for a VP to have him return a call to a Mr. Rocksand, ASAP. Fortunately, the VP knew that the person he was to call back was his wife, Roxanne!

There is a convenience store in the bus station.  They posted a sign that said "Now excepting EBT" (state aid cards).

Someone crossed out the "ex" and wrote in "ac".
