*swoooooooooooooooooooooon*

Having been to perhaps a few too many cons, Galaxy Quest is spot on but in such a loving way.  Oh, I love that movie.  I was the "It's real?  I KNEW IT!" kid, only female.  Heh.

And of course, mmm...Alan Rickman.

*swoooooooooooooooooooooons some more*

I have a sudden desire to watch every movie he's been in. Couldn't convince the BF to get anything but Order of the Phoenix, though...

Be still my heart! He's just as handsome in person. Glad to know he's a nice guy to boot!

Hee!  I love that movie (which DH dragged me to, I didn't think I would like it - but when I realized AR was in it I decided to give it a chance).

<snip>

Also: I don't know if there's ever been a movie version of Les Mis, but if they were to make one I would absolutely love to see Alan Rickman play Javert.

They did make one in 1998, with Liam Neeson as Jean Valjean, Uma Thurman as Fantine, Claire Danes as Cosette, and Geoffrey Rush as Javert.

..Rickman would have been epic to watch in it, though.  ;D

As a PP mentioned - Bottle Shock is a fabulous movie.

As we all do, I love this man. I'm so glad to hear that he is a quality human being in addition to being a wonderful actor.

He is Snape, IMO, but I think he embues the character with a certain, oh, I don't know, HAWTNESS, that was never envisioned in Rowling's books. I mean, really, why pick that milquetoast James Potter when you could have had Severus Snape? Sigh.

He's the only reason 'Robin Hood' was worth watching, IMO.

'Cut his heart out with a spoon'

Years ago a friend and I had a Rickmanfest, with pizza and all the best Rickman movies. And "Robin Hood". Though we actually just fast-forwarded to the Rickman scenes. I mean, talk about unbelievable - like Maid Marian would ever have picked doughy ol' Robin over him  ::)

"And cancel Christmas!"

Also, I read years ago on a celebrity discussion board that he is one of the nicest celebs out there, period. Very kind to his fans, which makes me like him even more.
