I am so in awe of you! I could never do that - I'm just too vain. ;)

One of the boys in my year at Primary School died of a brain tumour when we were in year six. Anyone who wants to do something to help kids with cancer has my support.

Awesome! My hair's nearly as long as yours and I don't think I could do it...but part of the reason is that I've spent 5 years growing it back from my chemotherapy in 2005, so I know how it is. Being bald was nice in a way, no hair to take care of after all.   :)

Camarynne: I'm glad you've had five years to grow it back! I must admit, one reason to do this is so that my son will stop pretending that I'm Rapunzel... Ouch! He is fascinated with pulling my hair. No hair to take care of will be nice. :D

Aaaand... now it looks like I will be getting my head shaved on the Morning News. They asked if I'd be willing, and of course I said yes! Hopefully there will be fun video of me going bald now!

Tonight's tally so far is $520. You are all so amazing and I can't say thank you enough. Rest assured, I am working on the thank you notes already. It really means a lot to me that you are all so kind and generous.

If you didn't read the blog post I wrote, I just wanted to tell you all why I decided to do this. My little sister, who sometimes posts here, was diagnosed with Hodgkins lymphoma years ago. She beat it and is just one of the most amazing people I know.
