How long do you leave holiday decorations up?

This is something I'm curious about because I've seen holiday decorations up as late as March...

I think usually people put them up during Thanksgiving weekend and take them down sometime in January, but people have used other time frames as well.

My decorations went up mid-December (family tradition was the weekend closest to the 15th), and will come down in the first week in January.

Mine start coming down on New Year's day or the day after. It takes anywhere from a few days to a week. I collect ornaments and am finicky about the way they are wrapped and stored.

Last year the apartment management sent out a letter giving people a deadline for removing their outdoor and window decorations. I had no problem with this, as by mid-January time and weather have made a lot of that stuff look pretty faded and sad.

Mine will come down mid-January, when my husband is back home again  (I think he's due home on the 10th or 11th, but I haven't checked his schedule yet *G*).

January 6th, the Ephipany.

1st or 2nd of January.  My son's birthday is 3rd January so I like to keep the two events separate.

Until the Epiphany (Jan 6), which also happens to be my son's birthday.

My go up anytime after Thanksgiving day (sometimes on Thanksgiving day) and come down on or around Epiphany.

Mine go up the weekend after Thanksgiving and they come down as soon after Christmas as I can manage it. I'm starting tommorrow with the denuding of the tree and the inflatable Santa was unplugged tonight.

They ususally stay up at our house till we get either sick of looking at them, or tripping over the tree. 

We put them up the weekend before Christmas and are usually down by the new year or shortly after.

The tree will leave first and the Nativity will probably stay up longer because it is out of the way.

Mine always come down the weekend after New Years, but we've already stopped turning the lights on.

ditto - except the year the tree was dead by Christmas, then we took everything down New Year's.  We usually put everything up the week after Thanksgiving- what ever day(s) hubby has off work

If I kept on top of things like I used to do, our tree would be down on New Year's Day. When it goes is anybody's guess.

Mom got tired of looking at ours yesterday -- so down it went.

I still have to put the big box away......
