Could be a silly question

Occasionally, I see a box in posters sigs that says "Not update in more than 180 days, please update".

These are usually posters who I see post frequently. Why does that happen? Does anyone know?

I've seen that when people have had tickers in their signature.  So maybe the ticker site puts that in if they haven't done an update?

It's for the tickers.  I you don't update them after awhile they switch to that message.
