DH did something nice, for no reason
« on: July 03, 2007, 04:07:36 PM »
Last night, I was having a rough night.  Both children were screaming and crying, older DD was having a tantrum about not being able to watch TV and youngest DD (she's a baby) was just crying because she just wanted to be held.  DH had to run out of the house to get to an electronics store for something he needed.  I called him, because I was at the end of my rope.  He came home after his errand with margaritas and yellow/peach roses.  It was so sweet and for no real occasion.  He made me so happy and every time I look at the flowers on the table, I am in a better mood.  Hooray for random acts of kindness and grace from family members.

This is a new development for him in our three years of marriage so far.  But a welcome one none the less!

He didn't do it for no reason. He did it for you.
My cousin's memoir of love and loneliness while raising a child with multiple disabilities will be out on Amazon soon! Know the Night, by Maria Mutch, has been called "full of hope, light, and companionship for surviving the small hours of the night."

He is such a sweetie!

I agree, he didn't do it for no reason, he did it for you because he knew you were having a tough time & he appreciates you.  I know what you mean, though- it came out of nowhere, the fact that that was the case, makes it an even nicer surprise.

There need to be more men like that...I LOVE stories like this  :-)
