Dress code for a TV show taping
« on: May 08, 2011, 08:11:19 AM »
I have a ticket to be at the X-Factor auditions show taping in Newark in June.

There is a dress code: hip, upscale, like you'd wear for a night out. No jeans, shorts, t-shirts, sandals, etc.

I have one very nice little black dress, but it looks too dressy. I'm looking at store websites for ideas but most of the outfits are more suitable for 20-somethings, not someone who will have just turned 50.  :o

So, any suggestions? I have a big bust, so certain tops just won't work. TIA.

Avoid any small patterns, or white as they can look funny on TV cameras.

I don't think you can go wrong with well fitting, dark colored pants and a trendy top that works with your body.  Bright colors are def. in right now (for tops or bottoms, but stick with tops).  Coral is especially in. Does that color, or something in its range work for you?

I love coral! I'm liking dark dress pants, colorful top, and stylish flats (which, thankfully, are trendy this year).
