Annoying guy in Target.
IndianInlaw:
I went to Target today in search of bargains. They had the dollar section marked down by 75%. I found a nice set of pens, but I wasn't sure if they were included in the sale.
Fine...I would just find the electronic price checker and go on my way.
I found one that actually worked. (This is a brand new store, by the way). I hadn't scanned it yet, when this Target guy came by and asked if I needed help. He pointed to my item and said "the price is on it." I said I was just checking to see if it's on sale. He said it wasn't, as they just put those out today.
Gee whiz, I could have ascertained that in a split second, had he not decided to have this unpleasant little chat.
andi:
LOL - the overachiever that doesn't know he's annoying
Rose2Bear:
Telling you the price is on your item was kind of silly, isn't the whole point of those machines that sometimes items don't get priced properly when there is a sale, so it allows customers a way to double check?
I think most people using those machines (myself included) know what the price is probably going to be, we just like peace of mind from a machine to reassure us that that's what the price really is!
Clara Bow:
"May I help you?"
"I was just checking the price on this item."
"Are you familiar with the machine?"
"Yes."
"Let me know if there's anything I can help you with."
Ahhhh life in a perfect world...
IndianInlaw:
Overachiever, my foot. He was wearing an orange vest. He was the parking lot cart collector.
The entire purpose of having those machines (in my lowly opinion) is so I don't actually have to talk with anyone.
Particularly, people like him.
:P
