My story...I worked at a bagel store with a kitchen side. This nice lady opened at 6am and fed all of the old men whose wives didn't cook for them at 6am. Can't understand why
So she goes on vacation and I'm tapped to come in at 5am and set up. So by six there's a guy by the grill waiting to make the orders I'm taking. Ten little old men line up and start to order. I put the first order in, egg and a bagel and coffee and tell the man he owes $3. He tells me "debbie charges me one, grabs the coffee cup, throws the dollar at me and moves on without taking a number. The next nine were just like that. So I called out orders based on what was on the tray, manipulated their orders into the dollars we had, basically everyone got something free, and counted the time until this woman's vacation was over.
In this case she was giving them free food and I was the b**** for charging the right price and not memorizing their orders. Hope they gave her amazing tips.
