What a nice story  ;D  I worked in fabric stores for a long time and it's so nice to hear of nice customer/employee interactions rather than all the crappy things that happen.  Also, good on your Dad for thinking up such a nice sweet present for your Mama.  Also, Outdoor Girl has a great point.....A shoutout on Yelp or any other quilting forums, websites, clubs what have you, will be nice for the Quilt Shop!

Hey, that's only an hour from me!!   ROAD TRIP!  Who wants to go??  I'm picking up a new car(hopefully) on October 8th, and it'll fit several people, our purses, AND our purchases.

Oooo! I'd love to go.  Sadly, I live in the Midwest and it'd take me nearly a whole day to get out there to join you. So I'll just make another visit to the shop nearest me (Patched Works, anyone?)

I've always gotten the best service in quilt shops. Maybe it's something in the personality that causes nice people to become quilters.  :)
